Crewing with SEVAR
SEVAR Crew, a subsidiary of SEVAR Maritime established in 2021 to address the international demand in the maritime industry. Our primary focus is connecting Egyptian and Middle Eastern seafarers with reputable ship owners and ship management companies.
SEVAR Crew is ISO-MLC certified by Lloyd’s Register “LRQA” for the provision of manpower to ship owners, ship managers, and ship operators. Our services adhere to the requirements of the International Labour Organization’s Maritime Labour Convention (MLC 2006), Regulation 1.4, specifically for recruitment and placement services.
SEVAR crew, managed by a team comprised of highly qualified and experienced individuals, including Captains, Chief Engineers, and well-experienced Maritime Administrators. Our team members have dedicated decades to the maritime industry and ship management.

SEVAR Crew provides well-trained and highly motivated sea staff from Egypt, North Africa, and the Middle East to clients in the shipping industry. Our extensive pool of experienced seafarers is a valuable asset, particularly in a time of global manpower shortages.
SEVAR Crew specializes in supplying sea staff for various types of vessels, including Bulk Carriers, Containers, Oil Tankers, Offshore Vessels, Dredgers, Car Carriers, and RORO ships. We recruit seafarers through our network, adhering to customer policies and procedures outlined in the SEVAR Quality Management System. Our recruitment process includes rigorous checks and tests to ensure the professional competence of all applicants.
Crew retention is a priority for us, and we are proud to maintain a retention rate of approximately 90%. The interest in maritime careers in Egypt & Middle East is high, and we anticipate further growth in our seafarer pool.
While SEVAR Crew is active across all sectors of shipping, our Container and Bulk Division is a key focus area. We have a diverse team of experienced Deck Officers, Engineering Officers, Electricians, Fitters, and ABs who bring valuable skills to the table. Our personnel are well-versed in modern systems and industry standards, and equipped to handle the maintenance of demanding vessels.
